Triathlon swim training in the Fuschlseebad

After a long winter of lengths in the indoor pool and hours on the fitness bike, we are all keen to get outside and start training in the fresh air.

Triathlon swim training outdoors

Swap indoor training for outdoor training in the Fuschlseebad sports pool, which is heated from April.

Located just metres from Lake Fuschl, this open-air pool offers swimmers two separate training lanes as well as magnificent views of the lake.

And even when it is cloudy or drizzling, the heated outdoor pool is still the perfect place to train.

Important information about triathlon swim training in the Fuschlseebad

From the end of April onwards the Fuschlseebad is open daily between 10:00 and 22:00. Guests staying at the Hotel Mohrenwirt can use the Fuschlseebad free of charge for their triathlon swim training. Admission prices for other visitors range between €3.50 and € 6.60 depending on the length of stay.

The Fuschlseebad is just a five-minute walk from the Hotel Mohrenwirt. There are also pay-and-display parking spaces directly in front of the Fuschlseebad.

Relaxing after triathlon swim training

Those looking to relax and recharge their batteries after a swimming session should head straight to the Fuschlseebad’s sauna. A huge glass façade offers visitors magnificent views of Lake Fuschl from both the chill-out room and the sauna itself. After working up a sweat in the sauna, why not cool off with a dip in the lake? Direct access from the sauna area to the lakeside makes it simple!

Triathlon training – much more than just swimming

Our region is the ideal location for triathlon training. Guests wishing to add a bike ride or run to their swim training won’t lose any time in the ‘changeover zone’ – the hotel’s location means that there is a huge range of trails starting more or less outside our front door. For example, the Fuschlseebad is the starting point for several beautiful bike tours and also marks the start and finish of the 12km circular running trail around Lake Fuschl.
