What does tradition mean to us? Holding on to genuine virtues, valuing the achievements of our ancestors and the commitments that accompany them, handling our legacy, the beautiful Lake Fuschl region, with the up-most of care.
Since 1846 the original village inn and today’s restaurant have been run by us, Family Schmidlechner. For so many years now it has been our privilege to welcome guests from all over the world and to enable them to spend a few unforgettable days in the Salzkammergut, a region blessed with so much beauty. This makes us very proud and helps us to look confidently into the future.
It’s good to know where one belongs. The village of Fuschl am See is our home. We are greatly influenced by the countryside and the seasons. People’s cordiality and hospitality is the result of the magnitude of their own wellbeing and happiness. To this day the local associations, clubs, church festivals and the sound community life, shape the face of Fuschl am See.
There is a very strong bond between Fuschl am See’s brass band and the Hotel Mohrenwirt. The band’s first official performance took place in 1929 to celebrate the re-opening of the guesthouse “Zum Mohren”. The then proprietor, Jakob Schmidlechner, was also the bandmaster of the newly founded “Trachtenmusikkapelle” from Fuschl am See!
